International Project & Program Manager
I am Pascal Van de Vijver, an independent senior International Project & Program Manager. For more than 25 years I have led transformation programmes for international organisations — in technology, healthcare, manufacturing, services and the public sector.
I work as an independent professional under my own name, iNovum Projects. Organisations bring me in when a programme is large, international or politically complex, and needs someone who can create direction without losing sight of the people who have to deliver it.

Business and technology, strategy and execution, executive committees and delivery teams: each has its own language, pace and definition of success. My work usually starts by making those differences explicit, and then building one shared direction everybody recognises as their own.
Governance, planning and reporting only matter when they help people make better decisions faster. I build the lightest structure that makes a programme steerable — clear decision rights, honest status, visible dependencies — and I keep removing what no longer serves the programme.
I have worked with teams and stakeholders across Europe, North America, South America and Asia. Different cultures deal with commitment, hierarchy and bad news in different ways. Recognising that early prevents most of the surprises that derail international rollouts.
I set a clear direction and hold people accountable, but I coach rather than push. Teams deliver more when they understand the why, own their part and trust that problems can be raised early. Creating that safety is a deliberate part of how I lead.
Methodologies are useful; dogma is not. I combine classic programme management, Agile delivery and PROSCI-based change management, and I choose what fits the organisation in front of me — not the other way round.
What energises me most is bringing people together around a shared ambition.
Working across countries and cultures has reinforced my belief that trust, curiosity and genuine human connection are among the strongest drivers of successful transformation.
I bring energy and pragmatism, but also calm when complexity increases.
